iTRACS Administrator Training
This five-day course prepares students to design, implement and maintain the iTRACS Physical Layer Manager (PLM) Software, and teaches the processes and guidelines of iTRACS PLM administrative practices. In addition, the course prepares students to fully utilize features of the software including but not limited to:
- The Change Control System (service provisioning) for creating and monitoring work orders/trouble tickets for data centers, closets (TRs), etc.
- AutoCAD .DWG and .DXF professional graphics (importing, exporting and printing)
- Creating connections between switches, hubs, patch panels, routers, ends devices, services and jack/outlets utilizing horizontal cabling, vertical cabling, patch cables, fiber jumpers, etc.
- Creating, printing and exporting reports (i.e. patch panel and switch utilization)
- Creating and utilizing autonumbering (text, alpha and numeric designations) schemes to produce custom reference designations
- Defining classes and categories within the iTRACS database in order to customize the hierarchal structure and present a “true” model of your organization
- Configure IIS and utilize the iTRACS Web Interface
- Configure the Virtual Wiring Closet (VWC) in order to view a 2-D representation of your data centers, closets, telecommunication rooms, etc., including the view of the equipment within displaying cable connectivity
